I'm sorry to have to do this, but I'm really getting desperate with trying to figure out how to capture 24p footage alongside 60i footage.
I posted just two days ago on this subject, and only got one reply and that was at best a guess. My question is really pretty simple. "Has anyone out there captured 24p footage and 60i footage into the same sequence"?
I've captured it, but when I go out to SP3, the 24P footage is awful. It jumps. I was told to capture at 29.97 (BTW, everything is also 16x9 either anamorphic or wide) and then use 29.97 in the browser for the sequence.
It doesn't look that bad on the monitor, but when I go out to Studio Pro 3, I have to select either 24 or 60i and display into 16x9. I can't do both!!!!
If it were just a simple matter of capturing in 24P, that would be easy.
As I mentioned, I really need to have someone who has done this successfully help me through the process. I just refuse to believe that it has to be an either or situation.
In the meantime, if I do happen to find the secret before anyone responds to me, I'll post the formula.
thanks,
eric
