Help! Can't upload audio...

I am trying to upload something I shot a few weeks ago using both channels of audio. The problem is that when I play it on my PV GS120 with the firewire connected, I hear the audio, but get nothing in I-movie when it's importing on the screen. I played with all the audio settings in the menu and still get nothing. (I mixed and matched left, right, stereo, etc...Apparently the audio comes from the left as it won't work on the LCD screen when I switch to right. That much I've figured out) I am frustrated because I can hear it playing on the camera but can't get it on the screen!

So the picture is capturing ok but not audio in iMovie?
I didn't think iMovie had settings for capture but check make sure there's nothing to disable capture of audio from firewire.
Once captured make sure you have your computer soudn and iMovie soudn turned up. It's possible it's being captured and is eather turned down to low or you have iMovie audio set to fade or something. Might try a new project to make sure nothings been set.
