Hey all,

So, was on a BIG shoot for me today, and when we went to transfer the second SD card no ones computers will recognize it, we've tried 3 computers AND 3 different card readers, including using the camera as a card reader.

The weird thing is that the camera can still read and playback the card.

Anyone have any ideas?

My next step is to se a Kipro to record everything out of the sdi

PLEASE HELP!

I should add that this isn't my first shoot with the camera or the card. I've had both about a year. The card is a 16gb Sandisk extreme

Well, many of times if the card is locked, it won't read on a computer. You might try putting the unlocked card back in the camera, taking a clip of video then try again. I don't have an AF100, but is there a USB or firewire port that you can offload files directly from the camera?Like mounting the camera? When I had my HPX500's, this would happen sometimes but on the P2 cards. Just throwin out ideas, crappy place to be in, been there.

What is the error message you are getting?

PC or Mac?

If the camera can read and play the card...try dubbing across to another SD card in the camera (maybe)!

Funnily, we get no error message at all, it just isn't being recognized. We only tried it on macs.

My AC is trying copying it over now

Ended having to use a Kipro to dub most of it off. One clip kept crashing the camera, so I'm pretty sure it was somehow corrupted.

What brand was the SD card? I keep track of these things :-)

There are some data recovery services that some colleagues have used for SD cards. They
are expensive (as they take them apart in a clean-room and read the data off the cards with
a probing machine).

I hope the next round of video cameras just have SSD slots ... they seem to be a lot more
reliable.
