Hi everyone, there's a question which bothering me for some time as i tried to research on the other places but I could'n't find the answer.
Not long ago Sony has come out with the A7ii which has ICS. I do own a Canon 6D but recently I'm thinking to jump ship to Sony and get a A7ii. The only thing I worried about is the video quality of A7ii.
Does anyone here did a comparison before or know some information about that?
I'm on a budget so A7s might not be in my consideration.

Thanks!

A7ii video is considerablly better than 6d. You should more worried about the a7ii stills performance vs the solid 6d. But for video, a7ii is better hands down, both image quality, handling and video features.

I know the Sony's image raw file was not at it's best compared to Canon. But I don't take photo for living so I think it's acceptable for me.
So the A7ii's video moire should be lesser than 6D's right?

Yes moire is better, not completely free but almost non issue (unlike 6d where everything basically moires). A7 is of course a better body for video, it has a tiltable LCD, great big EVF, peaking, zebras, histogram, headphone jack, better audio quality, ability to attach XLR inputs optionally, etc

It's got SLog, something like Cinestyle but designed by Pro Sony People (although Cinestyle was designed by Technicolour too), anyway point is it can produce very flat images with higher DR than
6d. It's got very comparable lowlight performance and slightly better resolution, and of coirse the big deal is the Image stabilization that works with any lens out there, a very effective tool for video.

Only area where 6D might be better video-wise, is the colour rendition, some people like how canon makes skin look for example and that Sony's tend to be much harder to get as good looking skin.
It's subjective though, and as long as you have time for grading S-Log (fun yet takes time) this is not
an issue.

This is all just about video, if we talk stills, the table turns and 6D is a workhorse.
