HELP: AE forcing my 29.97 footage to 23.98!?

Has anybody heard of this before? I'm doing a muzzle flash test on 29.97 footage, everything I'm using is 29.97 fps, the flash, the footage, the timeline.. everything.

I go to export so I can bring the clip into FCP (on a 29.97 timeline), I use NTSC DV/DVCPRO, 29.97, export.. load it into final cut, and boom.. somehow it's frame rate is magically 23.98.

I've been fooling with it for 15 minutes I'm getting really frustrated, does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? Thanks for any suggestions,

Chris

EDIT:
I actually counted the frames in the quicktime file, there are 30 frames in one second, why is Final Cut telling me something different?
Also, I tested importing other 29.97 footage, and it works fine.

Oh man, 15 minutes!!! Geez, I think I would shoot myself by now........No seriously, grow some balls and try working on problems for days. I suggest you should never get yourself into web design.

But not to be a dick---I would open the video in quicktime and click "show movie info", which is under of the main menu options. If that says your still at 30fps, and FCP still thinks your at 24, than I would double check all of my footage and render que settings in AE. And make sure that there is no pulldown or anything weired like that happening.
