hey! so i was brought over to Bulgaria to work on a script and i brought my HVX200 and sennheiser shotgun mike for kicks ... well, it turns out the production couldn't line up a camera EPK guy to shoot behind-the-scenes (they only had a still photographer) ... so i said "well, look what i have here!" ... and thus i became the official EPK guy on the production
now i am a bit old school here ... i still have only have two 4 gig that allows at best 20 minutes @ 720p24pN ... here is the setup, I have a Mac laptop PowerPC G4 and on it installed Final Cut Pro 5.1
question: is there a way i can live feed say an interview into the computer directly and capture said footage on my laptop? i remember this not being possible with native (and i found an estimate of hard drive space allotment time wise in 720p60 - this seems to imply it can be done).
here is the problem, i can't seem to get it to work ... i have a firewire cable going from camera to mac
help! any step by step advice out there?
