Hello and HELP!

Hi Everyone. Sorry to be predictable guys but I am suffering from Paralysis-By-Analysis!
Briefly, I want to upgrade my camera kit from Panasonic GSNV250 3CCD, to something like the AG-DVX100. Problem I have is that I really fancy having the film-like 24/25p feature, but I reckon I should be equipped (as a business) with an HD/native 16:9 camera now. So the HVX seems to be obvious if I stay with Panasonic. But that camera uses the P2 media which I think would be impractical for what I do, which is frequently videoing long presentations and events (up to an hour and a half). I don't really want to spend as much on media as I am going to spend on kit! So I'm a bit stuck. I really want the "film-like" 24p plus HD plus native 16:9, but onto tape if possible - and all on a piece of kit that costs around £2000!
Does such kit exist? The Sony range doesn't seem to feature 24/25p does it?
So if anyone can give me a bit of a steer here, your patience and advice would be really welcomed.
Cheers
Chris

Check out the Sony HVR-V1U. It's HDV, which most people would agree isn't as good as the Panasonic DVCPRO HD, but it records to tape or the optional external hard drive.

The camera runs for about $1,500 cheaper than the HVX. It may not have all the options of the HVX, but the CMOS chips are nice, and it does support 24p.

All-in-all, probably not as good as the HVX, but it is cheaper and it records to tape.

Also, Canon just rocked the heck out of the HD market with the Canon HV20 announcement.
