Hi everyone,
I used to be active on this board and I even had a DVX100A at one time, (has it really been a year?!)
I'm sure you don't remember, but I had just had a daughter back then, 6 weeks premature, and bills were overwhelming me so I sold the camera.
She is almost a year old now, (my daughter and the camera. my daughter's almost ready to start walking, and last I heard, the DVX100a I sold was being used to make a doc on some major motion picture).
It's hard to imagine all the time that has passed. She used to be so small that I have a picture of her lying next to my ex DVX100a and she was quite a bit shorter than the camera.
Anyway, for the sake of old times I logged onto the site and saw the DVX100a now has a $300 rebate. I think I'm going to go ahead and get one now that insurance finally came through and covered my daughter's hospital bills like they should have in the first place...and get the camera again and see what I can do with it.
I'd like to say I am going to make a feature with it but I've said that too many times in the past, (and failed miserably to reach that goal), and perhaps I've achieved too much humility to say things like that anymore...but anyway, Spring is in the air here for now, reminds me of the first time I got my DVX100a, and what can I say...I'm nostalgic...
So my first question is, now that I'm back, is Willoughby's.com the best Pana-authorized place to get a DVX100a with its price of $3250? (I would like to buy it from EVS but I don't want to pay CA sales tax.) I see they are including Magic Bullet, but there's no mention of the DVX book/cd being included...
What do you think?
Thanks, and nice to meet you again.
