:-Cry(DBG):
I am the worlds biggest idiot!!! I really screwed myself and all my projects. I have a lump in my throat. Please help me!!!!

The situation:
I have several project completed in FCP and in DVD Pro. They were all set to my 2nd HardDrive on my MAC Pro. This drive was my scratch disk.

* So my scratch disk was pretty full and I had to clean in up. I purchased a 1TB external drive connected via 800 FireWire.

* I made folders on my external. For example: raw footage this is where i placed my capture scratch media off my scratch disk.

* I moved my FCP projects to a folder named Projects on my external.

***** NOTE: I did use Media manager to move my files over. I utilized "COPY" media and set my media destination to my externnal. I figured this wold keep my projects with its footage together so I wouldnt have to reconnect it.

I thought wrong!!!! Everything has to be reconnected and It wont let me do multiple files at once ONLY one at a time. Im so majorally screwed!!!!

Next,

DVD PRO

I had only a few projects....nevertheless a pain in the but to put together.
I moved all of my DVD PRO projects to a separate foler on my external namesd DVD PRO PROJECTS.

I opened a project because I need to make 3 more copies for somone and all the files are missing. I thought once a project is saved all of its properties are saved.

I have all these files and they are USELESS.

HOW DO I retrivee them> How do I make them work again? Will it be possible?

Please anyone......very desparate

You should be able to reconnect FCP media all at once. Just select all the offline clips, go to Reconnect Media, and Locate one file and FCP will reconnect every other clip in that location. Any clips not in that location are left on the list, and you repeat the process. When you've located all of them, you hit "Reconnect" and you're done.

As for DVDSP, the project file is just a shell, and it is looking for the assets on your hard drive.
