Hell House Grabs

Working on my first horror short, here's a couple of grabs with Magic Bullet Night Time & Dream Look thrown on.

Title looks REALLY cheezy IMHO, I'm sure it's just a rough draft right now, but the firepit thingy looks really cool.

I like the title. It lets the audience know we are going to have a good time. Nice telephoto look. Did you use a telephoto for that shot or just zoomed in?

Is a stringy-haired dead girl going to come out of the fire pit? Cause that's a pre-requisite element for all scary movies now: hole in the ground and stringy-haired dead girls.

Depending on the type of "horror" film you are shooting, I would suggest changing the font style of the title...maybe something less bold and colorful. A light gray/white, maybe a common font...shouldnt quite stand out, unless of course it is your intention to do so.

Don't forget that the stringy-haired dead girl needs to be semi-transparent, and needs to jump around the screen. It helps too if she shakes and the background shakes on different composite layers.

Why would you say that? Looks like DVX footage to me...then again, it's hard to tell when footage is so heavily treated with MB.

Also Hudson, you may need to ease up on the caffeine.

nice grabs but the title is like a race car sign, I have change the title. the tipography is "AUGIE"

good luck

Yep just zoomed all the way in, no telephoto lens, Z99 baby! Then just cropped the 4:3 image down to get that 2:35 look.

Yes Professor Hudson, this was shot on the DVX. The image does look pretty flat with the MB on it, I could brighten it up a little I guess.

$699 - $999 !!!

forget about it man (who told me wthin 200$)

your grabs is not very nice:thumbdown

What are you trippin on?

Hey francheezie

Z99 is not very accurate for Infinity focus; I think the DVX is really at Z95 for more precise focus (This image does appear soft)

Cinema-E is always trippin' on something. I'm sure you've seen his thread in the screenplay forum. It doesn't make sense, still.

on MB prices , love this grabs but thought MB price is too high
