This fully manual lens lives up to its reputation as the "king of bokeh". Light lens, very sharp, gives unique photos with very interesting beautiful bokeh in the background. Excellent choice for portraits.
It is the best and most popular Soviet lens in the world !!!
This famous lens was manufactured in the USSR and features outstanding sharpness, contrast and color rendition.
For photography lovers looking for a camera lens that captures clear foreground images while providing unique and beautiful bokeh affects, the Helios 44-2 is worth considering. Lens construction within this Helios camera lens for Zenit/Pentax is six elements in four groups. This lens 58 mm f/2.0 is compatible with many DSLR cameras with adapter. It attaches to traditional, 35-mm cameras via the M42 x 1 thread. The Helios 44m-2 features a maximum focal aperture of f/2.0. High focal apertures yield pictures with detail finer than what is perceived with the human eye.
Fixed at 58 mm, with original bokeh and sharp imaging, it will be ideal for portraits, landscapes and in some cases for macro shooting. Helios 44-2 gives unique photos with beautiful, soft swirly bokeh in the background. Taking portraits? This model will suits you perfectly! On APS-C systems the angle of view becomes narrower and the lens is converted into a decent aperture portrait lens. Helios 44-2 is an excellent budget choice for portraits - you get artistic pictures from the pure color reproduction, smooth background blur and bokeh effect. Lens features allow you to smooth out minor blemishes and make-contrast shadow transitions softer. Nevertheless, Helios 44-2 can also be used when shooting landscapes, when there is no need for clear details.
Lens mount: Canon/M42 Focal length: 58mm Relative aperture: 1:2 Scale of diaphragms: from 2 to 16 Diaphragm: Manual Focusing range: from 0.5m to 20m to infinity Standard fast 58mm f/2 lens for Zenit SLR, can also be used on Fujica, Pentax, Practica.
Great for photo & video on DSLR via adaptors(m42 to Nikon/Canon etc), mirrorless systems: Sony NEX Adapter (for Sony E mount cameras like A6000, A3000, A7, A7s, NEX-5, etc), Olympus Pen, Panasonic G, Canon EOS M, Nikon 1, FujiFilm X-mount etc.
Before you buy a lens, will get information from the Internet on the availability and type of adapter to your camera. I sell only the lens, please buy adapter separately from other sellers.
(This lens will work with Sony NEX E-mount Mirrorless Camera with M42-NEX mount adapter.)
(This lens will work with Panasonic GH2,GH3, GH4 and GH5 Mirrorless Cameras with M42 to M4/3 adapter.)
It will also work with Metabones Speed Boosters. It actually works with speed boosters even better. I have one mounted on my Panasonic GH5 using Metabones EOS to MFT. In this case my adapter is M42 to EOS. Then I have attached to my GH5. The crop factor after that becomes 85mm instead of 116 and the F-stop becomes 1.2/1.5
Comes with both front and rear original protective caps.
The optical element (the glass) is in a perfect state, there are no scratches, no fungus, no signs of rubbing.
The glass is clean and clear (no fungi). The focal ring and the aperture move easily and precisely.
There are some external signs of use and there is one missing screw on the focus ring but 2 others screws are present and it does not effect functionality in any way.
