i have to go to florida at the start of next month to do some filming and i was wondering what is the best approch to use when doing shots from a helicopter i have a glidecam 4000 but is better to use just the camera with OIS rather than the glidecam as i dont really know how much room i will have and thoughts guys ? thanks Paul.

I wouldn't depend on OIS in this case. Certainly go with Glidecam. But if there is not enough room to hold it comfortably, I would probably try some shoulder mount.

I've gotten good results with a CineSaddle. What frame rate are you shooting? If you're thinking about 24p, I'd suggest shooting 30p then tricking quicktime into thinking the file is actually 24p. This will get you smoother results. CineSaddle + OIS + 30p->24p works wonders.

Good luck!
