Awesome footage and a big belated shout to R Sutcliffe for nailing the filter out the box, nicely. You can use a car mount to attach a fluid head to one of the interior windows for cheap stabilization.
 
Yes.. Shake is an excellent tool for compositing and has some excellent filters and macros to go along with it.. If you're proficient enough, you can write your own code for filters or to automate readily used functions... Anyone wants to trade some plugins or macros.. PM me..
