SOLD Heavy duty tripod legs

If anyone has some sturdy tripod legs for use with a 100mm bowl, please PM me. I recently purchased a Seven compact XL jib, and need a good set of legs for it. One stage is perfect, and aluminum would be fine as well.

I have a set of Manfrotto 536 carbon fiber legs. Very sturdy with a 100mm bowl. I also have the Manfrotto half ball adapter for it should you wish to mount a slider, quick release or a jib to the tripod. Let me know if you're interested. I'm looking to get $525. shipped for the tripod. It retails for $800 here at B&H.

Thanks, I don't think those sticks will work though. I need them to be able to support up to 30lbs of camera, plus 75-100 lbs of counterweight plus the weight of the jib itself. So old, but study and made of aluminum are fine. I'd like to stay in the $300ish range.

I've got a set of Gitzo 505 legs, used it for a heavier ENG camera and it is sturdy! Let me know if you're interested and I will take a picture and send it.

Do you know anything on the specs of the gitzo? The internet told me they have the same specs as these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...834&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation which are too small.

I just sent a reply but looks like it didn't make it, so I'm trying again:
I failed to mention my 505B is aluminum, had a 75mm bowl on it before, don't know if it would take a 100mm. Also, don't know about weight specs. I was surprised to hear about the counterbalance you talked about…when I used a Losmany jib on a Sachtler Video 18 we only used 20 or so pounds counterbalance with about the same weight camera. Maybe you need to find a 'Majestic' (sp?) tripod that seemed like it was cast-iron. I've seen it used in aircraft manufacturing to hold engineering instrumentation.

Oh yes, I need a 100mm bowl for it to work. With the seven jib I could get an extension arm, that would only need 20-30 lbs of weight for balance, but incase I am in close quarters I will need it to be a little hefty with a full rigged camera. I'll look into a majestic tripod, that sounds like something that could survive a nuclear blast!
