Heath Ledger Dead

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper, who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, found him unconscious at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the New York Times. After receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, they called authorities.

Why was he found dead by someone and then 911 was called? (According to CNN)

That doesn't make sense. If he had called 911 they probably would have found him first and a second call wouldn't have been needed.

I guess we'll know soon enough.

Actor Heath Ledger Is Found Dead

The actor Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon in an apartment in Manhattan owned by the actress Mary-Kate Olsen, according to the New York City police. Mr. Ledger was 28.

At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building, at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger naked and unconscious on a bed, with pills scattered around his body. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities.

The police said they did not suspect foul play. The police said they believed Ms. Olsen, 21, was in California and said it was not clear why Mr. Ledger was in her apartment.

something is happening, all these actors dying. just have to read all the threads talking about someone that died this last month.
 
I'm really looking forward to The Dark Knight, this news just sorta takes something out of it right now. I think his performance in it is going to be amazing. Sad.
