Headphones only playing through one ear

Read title. When I use a headphone splitter, it only plays through one set of headphones.

Is there any way to change this?

A splitter probably splits between the left and right channels unless you have a power amp. So you have to set your audio to record on both channels. You can set both channels to 'input 2' and plug in there.

what kind of splitter? it may not be a stereo splitter
