Headphone Volume Button is not Responding

Hello.

I was shooting some scenes for a film just yesterday, and I've got more to shoot today. And the film is primarily silent, but I still wanted to monitor the ambient sound and movements. So I went to turn up my headphone volume, but it wouldn't do anything. I thought maybe I had something disabled in the menu that wouldn't allow me to adjust the headphone volume, but I tried turning the volume down and that worked just fine. So it's only the "+" button that isn't functioning.

I'm not exactly one to put my DVX through super extreme circumstances or anything; I've never dropped it and I don't throw it around, I'm pretty careful. So I keep denying the idea that something is wrong with the camera. The Zebra button doesn't seem to be responding either, though...

Anybody have any idea about what's going on here? Anybody else had this happen? I'm really hoping it's a stupid technical thing and it's not internal. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello Jaron,

Try putting your camera in VTR mode. Press play to playback your footage. Then press stop. While in stop mode, turn your headphone volume up and then press play again. I have to do that sometimes on my DVX. If that doesn't work, we have found that bad connections or corrosion have caused problems like this. Last resort we need to look at it. But try the first thing and see if it works.
