Headphone jack

Seems headphone jack on my DVX is pooched.
Only 50 hours on this camera,---but can get no signal from jack.
Phones are Sony MDR-7506, and not that old.
OR,---maybe there's a setting I've overlooked.
Any suggestions?
Anybody else had this problem and recitfied it?

At the top of the camera, there are two black buttons labeled like this:

- AUDIO MON/VAR+

Try turning up the monitor volume and see if it helps.

Hey Thanks Horse,

Tried that.
Green bar shows it's pegged to the (+) end.
Pressing (-) does nothing.
Seems to be frozen there.
Won't budge.

Horse,

Me 'gin,---turns out monitor was pegged at lowest setting and not highest.
Had to push like heck (hell) to get it to move up.
Anyway the upshot of this is that because phones were not working, trusted audio meter.
Which looked OK, bit of red---even looks ok on timeline. But is distorted purdy bad.
Sorry for wasting you time. Days are short enough in Minnesota,---right.
Thanks

It wasn't a waste of my time at all, man! I had that happen to me once, too. It makes you panic thinking your new baby is broken.

The days here are pretty short right now, but the worst is the 8 inches of snow we got over night combined with the additional 6-11 inches we're supposed to get today. I hate this state sometimes.

Well, I've got a problem. My adapter for my headphone jack (down from 1/4") is stuck. I pulled pretty hard, but it won't come out. It comes out about 1/16" then stops, but rotates fine. I'm a little panicked.

Still Panicking. Anybody have any thoughts? I don't want to leave it in because I'm afraid I'll bump into it and mess up the jack. Naturally I don't want to get a pair of pliers and yank it out either...

The connector is messed up already, I suggest leave it inthere for now, if you bump it fix it then. If you try to pull it out with a pair of pliers, you will ruin it for sure.

I was joking about the pliers. :) I won't force it out, but leaving it in worries me as well. Especially since I have no warranty.
