Headphone jack

Has anyone had problems with their headphone jack on the hvx200A? While filming we would have to move the headset wire near the plug around to get sound into the headset. Sometimes the sound would only come in on one side. I thought the headset wire was bad but when I hook up my Bose headset the wire on it had to be moved around to hear the sound also. Thanks

Nope. No problems with my old 200 or my 200A.

But then, I always anchor the cable to the camera so it doesn't fudge up the jack.

YES !!!!!!!!! :(
I own two HVX-200's and in the past very frequently used several others that I didn't own. Of all those cameras (like six cameras) EVERY SINGLE ONE had faulty headphone jacks.

I've spoken to Panasonic Broadcast about this issue a couple times and although they won't fully admit that it's a bad design they will fix it it (usually without charging) because they know it's a mistake.

I HOPE the 170 is better.

I haven't had the 170 long enough to prove if the new metal jack is as good as the old one on the DVX, but the DVX headphone jack has been bulletproof for five years.

Yep. Just got on here to see if anyone else had this problem. Found out the hard way... when I began filming. Tested everything BUT the headphone jack.

Come on Panasonic!

AG-HVX200A headphone jack failure today

My HVX200A's headphone jack failed two weeks ago; at first I thought my headphones were bad and I almost blindly replaced them before I tested. I sent Jan a PM with my purchase details.
