Head Phone Outlet Doesn't Work

Has anyone ever had any trouble with their headphone jack not working?
Any ideas on who to get to look at it?
Thanks!

Yep :)
Got the volume turned up.

No, I've had this camera for a while, after some closer inspecting, its got a short. I knew it had a short but I figured it had completely went out but after jiggling things around I noticed I can still get audio through the headphone jack if I hold it just right, but the short is in the camera, it works the same no matter which headphones I use. I guess I'll rig it up somehow to work for now but in the future I just need to get this fixed. Do you think a local engineer type could fix it or should I go to a Panasonic rep?

Take it to Panasonic , If the camera is still under warranty it would void it if you take it else were .

Good luck

Yep,

It just happend to me the other day, I walked away from my camera on a tripod with my headphones on and knocked it over. Since my camera is out of warranty I took off the outer plastic cover and noticed one of the soldier connections had a crack in it from the force. I re soldiered it and it works fine, I also took pin and pushed the connectors in the 1/8 in jack hole in more so they make a better connection and everything is working fine.

Hurley,

I also bought a right angle (90 degree) mini phone plug adapter incase I walk away from it again it'll unplug its self.

I love headphones with the springy spiraled cables- they let you know if you're walking too far away from the camera. Do they make an adapter cable like this? Just a foot long spiral cable?
