I have been having problems with dropped frames while capturing DV-footage from my DVX-100 to FCP, and I am almost sure it has to do with the heads being dirty. I called a video service place and they said they charge $287 for check-up and cleaning. Is this something that I can do myself or possibly cheaper at another place? I live in L.A.
I have tried everything else the FCP online Help advice you to check and it is still dropping frames. Could there be settings on the camera Im not aware of. I havent always had these problems so something must have gone wrong?
I would be grateful for any answers. thanks/ Bean
