Hey guys! I wanted to post some stills here from this feature I just finished shooting called "Friends (with benefits)". We shot for 18 days...shot 24PA 1080i on the Panasonic HDX900 with a Fujinon 7.3-115 T2 cine zoom lens. It is a comedy, but the director (Gorman Bechard) and I decided upon a more stylized and contrasty style.

These are uncorrected...and I am not sure if I captured the still correctly as there is some artifacting.....will post footy when I can get some!

Wow.

Thats really all I can say. Seems a very strange choice for a comedy, the lighting style, but I would love to see it.

Coincidentally, from the stills you posted and the actor's expressions, I would have never guessed this as a comedy.

thanks for the comments guys. BennisHahn, I know, it is certainly not the normal choice and there are scenes that are much higher key, but there are so many complicated issues between the characters that these choices seemed right to us. There was an attempt to measure the rawness of some of the characters and the drama with the comedy and some of the more stylized comedic elements. Hopefully the visuals will help both sides of the material!

Hello, here are some of my first images. I used the HDX900 camera with the HDC 2/3 Canon Lens. There are some test four a documentary. I like to now you opinion. All the images are whith awailable light, accept abaut de interviu potrait in which y used normal home light. So no whay to work whith a kit light, at least whit 3200k bulbs. You have done a great job. Thank your four your time.

Oh man.....YEAH! That stuff looks awesome. I love the 2nd shot with the mirror. The cinematography looks really, really good. Nice job.
