HDW-F900 won't read memory stick

I am interested in working with the CVP editor software and importing custom gamma curves into my F900 but the 32MB Memory Stick i have will not read, write or format itself to my camera. I tried formatting it a bunch of different ways on my mac to see if that would help to no avail. I was wondering if maybe i don't have the write memory stick or if there is a very specific format they need to be in for the camera to read it?

It's been a very long time since I've used a 900 or Memory Stick(my D50WS used them for set-up/scene files, as well), but the cameras could only address ones with so much memory. And it was/is that way with most cameras at the time they are built, so once you get down the road a ways from when it was built, it gets hard to find "small enough" memory cards to work with it. You may want to check and see what's the largest capacity memory stick that it can handle?

There's also the possibility that there is something wrong with that particular card or the camera itself.

Before i spend money on another one, i wouldn't mind for some direction on which kind to look at in terms of size, age, etc

Here is the manual for the camera.

There is actually no info that I saw with regards to size limitations of Memory Stick to use(if any). I remember just using the 'plain ole purple' ones, and back in the early 2000's, they were probably fairly small, especially considering that the files were extremely small and anything over a few MB's was a waste, anyway.

If I can find an old one in my office, I'll let you know what size it is.

I actually have the hardcopy of the manual in the blue faux leather bound case (looks like a mini car manual) haha and thanks :)
