HDV DVD buring troubles

Whever I seem to shoot in HDV and then down convert to SD in an SD timeline, then burn to a dvd I get they jittery lines not like interlace jaggies but its like its too much data for the space its in. This only apears on the TV. if I deinterlace the footage it works but does anyone have a good FCP workflow that they could share?

So then you didn't downconvert to SD on capturing? Try that first.
question: do the lines appear on the preview monitor or in DVDstudio pro, or is it really just the finished DVD?

try adding a gaussian blur filter set to 1. It will blur any detail below one line. I find it helps when I put large photos into a DV timeline.

Hey,

Yes it does not surprise me you are having troubles... HDV = compression artifacts. I hear it looks horrible on the big screen.
