HDV aspect ratio compatiblity question

Okay, intermediate user question here...


All HDV is recorded at 1440x1080 with a 1.3 pixel aspect ratio, correct?

I imported some HMC footy into AE, it said that was 1920x1080 with 1.0 par, I thought people were saying the HMC was 1440.

In any case, footage that has 1440x1080 (1.3) ratio and footage that has 1920x1080 (1.0) ratio will look the same right and therefore I can import both 1080 footage from hmc and hv30 and everything will be okay right?

1440x1080 (1.3) means the '1440' is stretched to '1920' which makes it 16:9 ratio.

So, if you want to edit 1440x1080 (1.3) and 1920x1080 (1.0) on same timeline, sure you can do it, you'll see no difference.
 
I think the HMC150 is 1440x1080 on the 2 lower settings... but in HA & PH is 1920x1080 (except for the other PH size).
I could be totally wrong, but i'm to lazy to read and look for the info right now =)
in either way you shouldn't have any problem mixing footage in!
