HDMI switch for UHD 25p?

I use an Odyssey 7Q+ for UHD 25p recording coming from an A7S or an A7SII.
Normally I appreciate it as monitor to find focus for both cameras one after the other, first A7SII, then the A7S. I then do record the UHD 25p A7S signal through HMDI with the Odyssey, and keep the A7SII disconnected but recording internally.

I really would like being able to switch the input-signal of the Odyssey from time to time. At the moment I do have to change the HDMI connection on camera side for every switch.

So:
Is there a robust and 100% reliable HDMI switch/splitter available, which could be used instead of changing the cable? I tried something like this but it simply does not work, broken signal for HDMI1, no valid signal for HDMI2:

(frankly, I used this one from German Amazon:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00EOVD30A/ )

Another solution could be to have a HDMI>SDI converter to use the SDI inputs of the Odyssey and switch the inputs in Odyssey between HDMI and SDI and keep both cameras connected.

Anything you would recommend as trustworthy?
A $1000 and heavy hardware won’t be possible, but maybe there’s something below.

Thanks in advance!

It's not going to work the way you wish but I do have a solution.

The only converter that you can use is the AJA HA5-4K. This will take the UHD HDMI signal and convert it to Dual-3G to connect it to the Odyssey7Q+. So you would have an UHD signal coming in over HDMI and another coming in over Dual-Link 3G-SDI.

But the Odyssey7Q+ will not let you switch between these two inputs. The best you could do would be to unplug the HDMI every time you wished to view the SDI-fed camera. You can only see and switch between two inputs in HD using the Dual-HD mode.

But there is a solution: Apollo. You can get the Apollo Option for your Odyssey7Q+. This has a Dual-4K mode. You could then view the two UHD signals simultaneously and you could even record them both at the same time in Apple ProRes with matching timecode. In this case you would have one camera connected to the HDMI input and the other connected via Dual-Link 3G-SDI to the two SDI I/O ports. I know it is more than you said you wanted to spend, but it does answer what it is you wish to do with the added bonus of recording both cameras simultaneously.
