HDMI splitter?

Hi, I have a 5D with a liliput monitor (the monitor only has HDMI in)

So, I am looking for a HDMI splitter.

I've come to understand that in order to use an HDMI splitter it needs to be powered? Is this true, if so, how can I give the splitter power from my 5D?

I'm also looking for a setup that gives me an HDMI output to the liliput monitor and a composite output to a directors monitor. Any ideas on how I can do this?

Thank you Chris, thats helpful information regarding powered hdmi splitters. I still have a feeling theres a way to work around external power. It's just splitting signals. Is there one without power supply, and what are the limitations?

I am also wondering about an hdmi to composite solution.
 
Some have been using un powered splitters, yes. I just opted to insure the integrity of the signal with a powered splitter, but it's probably not a necessity.

I'd be leery of converting the signal since it may affect image fidelity and besides, the camera already outputs composite video.
