HDMI Atomos Ninja Hard Disk Recorder 795$

hm, they could write it on website as normaly everybody does, it looks lame... thanks bgundu.

is there any discussion about how to reverse pulldown efectively (on windows)? i got quickly respond from ATOMOS:

WTF?! i have found only after effects can do something like this but i am not 100% sure if the way is correct and i thought that it will be enought to rewrite some header, not to export all files and double space and use a lot of rendering time.

does anybody found how 60i wrapper pack EUROPEAN/AUSTRALIAN 25p? thanks for ideas...

FYI - Grinder does not do this. See attached screen grab of conversation with Red Giant about Grinder.

That's right Grinder doesn't do reverse telecine. I don't know why Atomos keeps recommending it. I've been going back and forth with their excellent technical support and hopefully it'll work out. I use Compressor with no issues for that purpose. (60i to 24p from my Sony FS100).

As an aside I wish they'd update their website to remove references to Stripper and re-add tha page that explains 24p to 60i in cameras and why reverse telecine may be needed. Lots of people dont seem to understand tha point.

hello guys, can atomos bulit up according to tested working cameras a table with info of captured resolution (1920x1080 vs 5dmII something like 1600x1080), colorspace (4:2:2 / 4:2:0) bitdepth (8bit / 10bit) and hdmi out stream wrap (24p, 25p, 30p, 50i or 60i)?

i am wondering to order GH2 but i dont want to loose time with something where i get 1/3 less resolion like 5DmII...

That's an interesting suggestion but we don't do it at the moment. Our focus is on cameras that DO give a clean output from the HDMI port, which, as we all know, means almost exclusively dedicated video cameras.

GH2 HDMI output is crippled I'm afraid.

have big troubles with atomos ninja2 files:

1. when importing files, some files got deleted. also another company of my country had these troubles today
2. massive asynchronity with sound/pictures using external input. final cut pro sometimes plays back files synchron, after timeline scrubbing asynchron again. no way to fix that problem. tried everything.

i recorded these files with nikon D800 via HDMI. used SSD's: kingston hyperX 3K 240GB

any solutions? thanks!

1D C has 1080 at 60p.
Ninja should be able to record that too. Else, moving between systems becomes a real pain in the posterior.

This guys badly need 1080p50 and 1080p60 support.
As all modern cameras will be shotting in this format (GH2, AF-100, few other uncoming models).
