What is the difference between the 2 cameras HDMI out.

I'd also want to learn more about this - from what I've read, the 5D3 doesn't drop the resolution when you hit record, but I'm not sure it's 1080 either (it could be 720 at all times?)

I think the 5D3 is 720p out but it's not clean hdmi out, meaning all the settings/info etc. is output on the image.

If Magic Lantern can work with the new camera, they may be able to clear those overlays.

Sooo. What is it? If it was recorded them cropped to 2.4:1 would it hide the on screen overlays?

With the new digi chip, I doubt ML will load. txdp, that would be an interesting test. Would it be 4:2:0 defeating the purpose?

Dunno, what is it? Is it 8bit 420? Or 8bit 422? Would we get less compression like we do with other cams out of the hdmi? I don't know... I'd like to know : )
