I'm sure others have said that copy back to their p2 cards. I can't see how to do it and reading the manual it states:

You cannot copy data from the hard disk drive to a p2 card.

Any light out there?
 
I don't know why the manual would say that; at least on the PC it's easy to do. I've even used a P2 card as a temporary file transfer device; I copied a computer document onto the card, then moved it to another computer and copied that document off of it.

Canopus Edius Broadcast can render new MXF files directly to the card as well.
 
Oh -- yeah, well, that's just saying that you can't use the camera BY ITSELF to copy from a hard disk back onto the card.

When plugging a hard disk straight into the camera, it's a one-way street: camera->hard disk.

But if you plug the camera into your computer as a USB device (or 1394 device for mac users) then you can read from and write to the cards. Or if you pull the card out of the camera and plug it into a PCMCIA slot on a laptop, you can read from and write to it.
