HD_SDI output questions

I am shortly getting a 7" HD-SDI monitor (probably F3). My 102 has had the 1080/50p update.
1. Does this upgrade the HD-SDI output as well? (Barry's book doesn't mention this as it came out before this upgrade was available I believe.
2. Is the cable just a 75ohm co-ax or does it have to be anything special?

Hi Rod,

The SDI port on the Panasonics is HD-SDI. It cannot transmit 1080/50p or 1080/60p. You would need 3G-SDI to handle those, and that would require a hardware change as far as I know.
 
thanks Barry- so if shoot at 1080/50p does it drop the output to 720p so the monitor will see it? and can you advise on the cable? is it a dedicated cable or a standard co-ax that I can get from an electronics shop? Cheers! Rod
