HD110 Body Only?

[Optiks]

Does any place sell the HD110U body only, without the standard lens? I've seen the HD250U for sale body only. I would prefer to equip a HD110U with something other than the 16X Fujinon without having to buy two lenses.

I've often bought cameras like this ... body only, then add lenses. Does JVC sell bodies only for the 110? If not, can it be ordered with a different lens at the time of purchase?

I had an email reply from a JVC rep today on this. Apparently, the camera has been discontinued. He suggested I look for a body on eBay or some other online auction site.

That's odd, the HD110 still shows up on the pro.jvc.com website as a current model. The HD100 and HD10 are archived as discontinued models, but the 110 shows as current.

Maybe he means the body-only offering was discontinued?

Likely that, or else I might have gotten someone in the service department instead of sales!
