As someone who shoots HD and works with a lot of web video, I am used to seeing the full image that I shot. So far though I have not watched much HDTV broadcast. Is there still a lot of overscanning with the HD image in broadcast or do the old titlesafe, action safe areas not quite apply. Has the new technology allowed for more of the picture to be displayed by HDTVs?
