HD SDI & HDMI 23.98 Out (Non S-Log)

F3 noob here... I have an F3 (no S-Log), Ki Pro Mini, & Zacuto EVF... Is there no way to record 23.98 to the Ki Pro Mini via SDI and monitor using the Zacuto via HDMI?If not, how are people working around this?

EDIT: I found the setting allowing HDSDI and HDMI out at the same time, but the Zacuto EVF doesn't like the 23.98 signal it's being sent.

the answer is no. hdmi monitors will only recognize the signal out of hdmi when you put the 59.94 pulldown on the signal. ki pro will recognize that as 29.97 and automatically switch to those presets, it has no pull down removal capability, nor does it convert the sdi signal to hdmi on its output from 23.98 adding pulldown to 59.94. pix 240 claims it can do scaling, and pulldown removal/adding, so it might be the only recorder that can do it. we'll know further when it actually comes out.

I would just try to lobby to the monitor manufacturer for a firmware update that allows for display of 24p material. My Samsung plasma displays 24p over hdmi, i don't see why a small hdmi monitor can't, unless they just don't have the circuitry for it.

Here's what I was doing wrong: I had the Ki Pro plugged into the "SDI" and not the Dual Link HD SDI. Now I can turn on the 59.94 pulldown and not affect the signal going to the Ki Pro Mini. Thanks everyone for the info!
