HD or SD composite out???

are you sure about that. a salesman today told me that its HD. i also found out that you can adjust the setting in the Video Out menu. you have the option to choose SD, HD, or OFF. thanks anyways jdajda.
 
Just to clarify yeah you can switch the Component Out from SD to HD and from 720P to 1080i when in HD mode, but this is only for component out. Composite out is 480i only.
 
you're absolutely right. i apologize for the confusion. i miss spoke. why are those words so similar???? so, just to clarify, if i shoot in 1080p and playback thru the COMPONENT out with the HD setting on, I will get a 1080i signal not a 1080p signal. but, if i shoot in 720p it will playback in 720p???? is this right?
 
Close - the output is dependent on the menu setting, not what you shoot. You can shoot 720 and output 1080 and vice versa. Not sure as to the 1080i/p part. Good question.

Yeah I have to really watch my typing as I'll type composite instead of component and vice versa. Makes it easily confusing.
 
Oh shoot sorry I wasnt paying attention at all and thought this was about the HVX. Blame the cough syrup and stopped up sinuses :) Ignore my comments about the camera!
