Flew in from Fort Lauderdale to San Francisco on the 13th to help out a promoter with his event on the 14th at DNA Lounge in San Francisco. Had 2 HVX200's for a multicamera shoot but the laptop on the second camera was messing up. This is a clip of the various artists that performed.

720/24p clip... 223MB... 3 minutes long:

Andrae,

Watched this and it made me nostalgic for the DNA! I don't know what you had on the 2nd camera that went south, but the wide stuff simply doesn't do it justice. When you were on the long lens, the camera really shined.

I suppose you were at 3200k preset? Because the color is perfect.

I would've put one camera on a tripod and maintained a long lens for tight faces and kept the other on twos and threes and the occassional wide.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. I would have so loved for it to be multiangle. The promoter promised to find someone to help me with the second cam and never did. I was running back and forth between two tripods and one setup was acting up... so I had to concentrate on the setup that was working. The next time I will fly in with my people... I have a feeling that we will record many more events there. Everyone liked the quality... the lack of multiangle was a shame. The white balance was at 3200k preset. Funny thing when I got back to Fort Lauderdale the messed up laptop/camera was capturing perfectly... lol.

Isn't that always the way? The stuff you turned out was really nice looking - an extra set of hands would've really helped you when it came time to cut.

Definitely share more with us if you go back!
