HD 720p PC USERS-edited with VEGAS 6 using cineform

some sample footage i took at 60fps/720 24p. slow mo with some water, a boat, a banded cat shark, a faucet leaking, and a man using a bush cutter. the boat maybe overexposed as it was an overcast day, default settings altho i should buy an SD card. But cineform works great on vegas. i use 1280x720 project settings and render to .avi using cineform hd codec and let DVDA compress it when outputting to DVD. looks great on the 44" HDTV...my dvd player is connected by DVI. also if any vegas users have tricks on outputting to dvd let me know, id like to try other methods of outputting to dvd.

just unrar the file and burn with nero. let me know how the footage turned out. if anyone wants .mxf footage i can prolly put it on my server as well. thanks.

Can I make a suggestion? Don't use RAR.

Alot of people have no idea what it is. It's found on few PCs, and even fewer Macs. If you need to bundle up multiple files, use ZIP, which PCs support natively and Stuffit (the de facto compression utility on the Mac) can also handle.

If it's a single video file, then simply encode it as a QT7/H.264 or WMV file. Compressing it further using RAR won't make a huge difference, and the impact it has on usability isn't worth it.
 
yea its now SD...i can upload the .avi file but its like 655MB. no problem for me bw wise. would you guys like to see? okay will use winzip now.
 
I thought all compression programs handle rar now. I think rar files compress better than zip but you can also zip the rar zip but it doen't save that much more space.
 
can vegas users render QT H.264? or the best way to render HD is .wmv HD? i kept it at .avi with cineform's hd codec. looks fine on powerdvd, but its friggin huge.
