HC-X1 (UX180) -Super Slow motion question and Settings question

Got my new HC-X1 and finally starting to play with it..I want to do that super slow motion...the manual isn't much help.

Question #1

Getting "Invalid" when I press the super slow motion button that I assigned to user 4
I got myself the HC-x1 with SD card U3 150 mb/s sdxc.
Fomratted with camera
selected 59.94hz
mov
FHD1080/59.94 100m

Question #2
When I turn on the camera and change some settings (i.e. white balance, shutter speed) then I shut off the camera....when I turn it back on, it doesn't remember my settings

Thanks for the help

What a goof I am...I didn't notice the second page of options for the 50M codec!! SO used to Sony where all is on one screen.

If I am shooting in UHD, is there any quick way to do slow motion without going thru the menu?

Also, any way to get rid of that line box drawing around the outer screen...I turned off all the grids and it's still there

Thank you very much!!

Slow motion, quick way ? No. You can assign a user switch for slow motion but you've still got to do the format change which means going into the menu. I hope a firmware update fixes this so that a press of one button really does put the camera into slow motion, ie the press of one button activates slow motion AND alters the recording format.

The box around the screen, that's peaking, to help with focus, that's the focus assist button which maybe assigned as peaking or expanded focus, either way, it's configurable in the menu.

Paul.
