HC V700 live capture / playback to PC?

Hi guys! I was wondering if anybody had figured out how to connect a Panasonic HC-V700 directly to a PC to record or be able to view files right after recording.

It's weird because the camera asks for RECORDER option when connected via USB but I tried capturing with Premiere and Vegas without any success success. The manual doesn't state anything, all I could find online is I would need an "AVCHD compatible" device.

The PC would in reality be a notebook so it's best if I can solve it via USB connection. I intend to create a video assist system for a sport so I don't need to actually record to the PC, I just need to be able to inmediately playback the file after being recorder, which I also haven't been able to do.

Thanks a bunch in advance!!

PS: if an additional capturing device would be needed, what would you recommend? Consider I need to use it with my laptop's USB 3.0 input.

Thanks Dingo!

Wow that's somewhat expensive, is there really no other way?

Are there maybe, specific video cameras, cheaper, that would allow easier live capture?

Also maybe it could work to try to convert my Nexus 7 into a monitor and just replay from the camera..

The problem is that there are really no easy way to accept HDMI video inputs on most computers ( all of the built-in HDMI ports are OUTPUT only ), so you have to add a hardware encoder device to get the signal into your computer, and none of these are cheap.

I think the only way to get video into your Nexus 7 is via WiFi, so you would need a camera that outputs a WiFi video signal. ( some of the newer consumer cameras do this, but they aren't cheap either )

If you just want to monitor your video while you shoot and playback your recordings, then you might want to look at buying a low cost LCD monitor like the Lillyput monitors. These can be bought for less than $200, or if you don't care about portability you can simply connect a small LCD TV set. ( I have a 22" Samsung 5003 LED TV set I use for clients just for this sort of thing )
