Is the October bootcamp in Hawaii still on? Very interested, please lmk the details.

Just got my 3 HVX's this past week and need a crash course on HD.

The sooner we get dates the better... I'd like to start researching fares/hotels prices. Thanks!

Jarred -- can you confirm the Hawaii dates? I believe it's late October, sometime around the 21st... hopefully Jarred will chime in and confirm the exact dates.

Just a month and a half away from October... a typical trip to Hawaii, at least for me, needs to be planned in advance. A month and a half would be about the right time for me to get it planned, if I'm going to do it. Thanks.

For all you Hawaii people, I just received my copy of Pacific New Media's Intensive Workshops program for Fall 2006. (Pacific New Media is University of Hawaii's Manoa Outreach College) And check out who's on page six!

Surrounding UH Manoa are residential areas.

Waikiki is the nearest hotel/resort area to Manoa. Orbitz or similar travel agents can give you rates.

Be aware that there is very little parking at the UH Manoa campus. Most of it is zoned for people with semester passes. There's only one or two visitor lots and the rest of the parking along the roads on campus are generally filled with parked cars. And there's almost no parking available off-campus.

Parking on Saturday shouldn't be too bad. But parking on Friday is going to be tough to find.

I wish I could attend but I'm going to be out of town that weekend. Rats!

Man I wish there were more English speakers here in Japan... even as it is I know some interested parties. I want to go to one... if nothing else to meet Jarred, Barry and Evin.

Sorry ncje, I'll actually be in Africa shooting a documentary in October. But I'll make sure Jarred takes a suitable replacement.
