the light was a bit trickey, the super bright white water, give me advise on filming and edeting technique.

I forgot how insanely hot Hawaii girls are. :love4::2vrolijk_08:

I really liked what you put together. Cool images and pacing. Next time you shoot it would be great if you were able to get closer to the action. The wide shots were good but if you could get some tighter angles too it would be awesome.

great video! those first few shots of that chick... :D

i also would like to know what program you used for the film burn look?

The film burn did a friend give me that shoots 16mm and 8mm so its real, put toghether in FCP.
And I could not get thigter full zoom on the camera and almost standing in the water but i wish could get in to the water.

The first 20sec is what 'i like most the rest is oki but not the best.

I will try the polarizer filter.

yeah I shot a lot of footy with the DVX and the century telephoto adapter and it sucks for shooting surfing, just can't get close enough to the action...which is why the Xl1/2 is the preffered camera of surf videographers for most videos. I had to be really creative to get close to the action but sometimes you are stuck with uber wide shots and there's not much you can do about it.

Footage looked incredible, polarizer will help a bit but the white water is always a ***** to deal with which is why you need to get Tight on the surfers. I'm definitely gonna get a camera with more reach on my next film, but having a water housing really helped and gave my film some variety.

If you're serious about shooting a surf video, expect to capture about 100 hours of footage to compete with any of the videos out there......YES IT TAKES THAT MUCH!

good job man.

I liked this footage a lot. Kept it concise and very clean. Colors were great too.
