I have one of the new macs with an SXS card slot on the side for uploading footage shot from an EX3. I was having issues because XDCam would show me all of the data from the SXS cards but it wouldn't play any of the media. So I contacted a friend and they told me to run everything to do with Sony and XDCam through an application called CleanApp from Apple downloads which is supposed to get rid of a program and everything associated with it.
Once I did this, I went to re install sony Xdcam clip browser. Now the Mac is telling me that I can't install XDCam on my hard drive because a newer version of the program already exists on it. Absolutely nothing related to sony, xdcam, clip browser, or even SXS shows up when I do a spotlight search, I've scoured the downloads folder and practically every other folder on the hard drive as well and can find nothing at all related to Sony.
Does anybody know of a way to list all software, or updates or hidden things that would not show up in the spotlight search? I'm becoming very frustrated with this problem and need everything working by the weekend because we have a film job coming up on Saturday. Thank you all very much in advance.
