Having trouble uploading to YouTube and Vimeo

Hi there users.

So I've shot on my AF-100, import the .mts files into FCP and edit using PRO RES 422. When I export to a quicktime movie the movie looks fine and plays on my desktop. But for some reason it won't upload to YouTube or my vimeo Pro account. For example, in vimeo the data rate will upload to 100% and then keep going. Nothing happens.

What would any of you recommend for the export of a 2 minute HD movie to be uploaded to these sites?

Use the specs as provided by YT or Vimeo.

In Adobe Premiere there are Presets for this purpose.

H264 generally works fine. Both sites re encode to what suits them anyway.

For example, in vimeo the data rate will upload to 100% and then keep going. Nothing happens.

Not sure what you mean by that.
