Having problems with XLR audio input

Hello all, first off, sorry my profile is empty. I just joined and for some reason it's not letting me update the information. Says I don't have permission. Guess I'll have to figure that out.

Anyways, I'm trying to hook up a set of Azden WM-Prom Wi Mics to my HVX-200. I've connected them via the XLR to Video Mic adapter from Samys Cameras. I'm not getting anything in the camera. I hooked up headphones to the receiver and the mics are working but I'm not sure if it's getting to 200. I've tried all the settings, even ones I know wouldn't work and nothing. I'm just learning this camera so I fell like it's an operator headspace and timing issue here. :cheesy:

Any help would be great. Hopefully I'm just missing something in the menu. Thanks!

Not sure what mic adapter you have but you might check the switches under the flip out LCD to ensure you are selecting CH1 and CH2 as input 1 and 2. It may be set on the internal (int)L and (int)R mic inputs in which case you would hear nothing from mics connected to the XLR jacks. You shouldn't need phantom power from your wireless setup but that is also switchable behind the LCD panel. And, obviously you would need the mic gain pots turned up for the input you are connected to (located at the rear of the camera above the battery). Hope this helps.
