Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Running new Macbook pro on FCP 6.0.2 and installed new sony clip browser software? What steps should I be taking... FCp set up to XDCAM 1080 30p HQ...

I had the same problem---just bought a brand new MBP and FCP but still had to do a FCP software update to get it to read XDCAM Transfer correctly. Go get the actual update at Apple, using your FCP serial number, to get the right 6.0.2 version that works with everything seamlessly. I promise it will work.
 
I will give it a try. Its funny I loaded up the new MBP and Final Cut then did the automatic update and then loaded the Sony xdcam software and it still didn't work. Do you have the link handy? If not no worries I will find shortly.

Just returned from shooting my first card and a half with a little 720 overcranked to 60f then some 1080 30p HQ.... And after previewing on my 42" HD tv I have to say wow... This baby rocks resolution wise night and day between the HVX but the colors out of the box goes to Panny....
