Have you seen the F-3 Armor

so you think the 2,500 includes the cost of taking off and re-locating the parts on the F3? wasn't sony offering body mods (minus the armor) like that at some point in time? I might actually consider something like that for all the action sports shoots I do. would even make it fit in a backpack better!

The cost is for the parts only. There is no relocation, you loose headphone, etc

what about the XLR on the side? its gotta move somewhere right? the pictures I saw of the sony mod had it moved to the back I thought.

I'm sorry, but their pricing is absolutly absurd. 1,200 bucks for a cheese plate, yeah huh? I imagine they will price themselves right out of business.

As someone who has bought some of their products, I can say you get what you pay for. They are excellent.

They are doing just fine and will be around for the foreseeable future.

If you wish to purchase these items and have them installed on your camera without voiding your Sony warranty, then AbelCine is the place to go. We have worked out a special arrangement with Sony and 3ality for this product line.

Mitch, can you provide more details on this process, what is entailed, what gets moved/removed, etc? I'd love to hear more about this.

Yes, I'd be curious as to the fate of the audio inputs, headphone jack, remote control receiver, rear tally, top and side start/stop buttons...

Yep...how 'bout it Mitch? Does audio I/O still work?
As for price, I can tell you: I've felt the pain of buying Element Technica stuff, but it ROCKS! Really nice stuff...I'm in for more.
