Have Sony Ex1 footage (.mp4) on Hard-drive HELP!?

I'm not sure if this is a thread already somewhere but I need some quick help.

I have a hard-drive full of footage from the Sony EX1.

Compressor or log and transfer doesn't work and quicktime player doesn't even allow me to view the footage.

I have a macbook pro 10.6.2

I just want to convert to Prores and start editing anyone have the best workflow for this? I could use some links or help to point me in the right direction.

Download XDCAM transfer and import it into Final Cut. You're skipping a step.
