FS7: Hasselblad Lens Adapater

I would not go for the Fotodiox in general after having read the reviews at B&H. I have a bunch of V mount lenses too (40, 50, 80, 120, 250) and I was thinking about the novoflex adapter but I decided not to back on this horse: these are all quite long lenses on the s35 sensor and the bokeh will be visible mostly. These lenses have a 5 blade iris and the bokeh is a very clear pentagram. If you like it it's fine, but for me the look is outdated and the taste has changed. See photo sample of 80mm on a phaseone sensor

Nevertheless these lenses are very sharp, they have very low chromatic aberration and almost no distortion. It might be difficult to find a lens for a consistent look at the wide end. In the end I went for zeiss contax CY

I appreciate your perspective and look forward to hearing more from others who have tried. The pentagon-shaped bokeh is very noticeable as you pointed out!

All that said, I'd love to know who makes an adapter for this application that's worth using. The reviews about the build quality give me pause.

Novoflex builds very good adapters. I have various and they all are very well built and rock solid. Unfortunately Hassi to e-mount is quite pricey (239€)

I used to associate Pentagon Bokeh with quality since I was used to seeing it from the hasselblad images which see from Apollo missions. That being said, on the other side of the spectrum, the nifty fifty (version II) also uses a 5 bladed aperture. It comes down to person preference.
