Has Pixar ever done a bad movie?!

BTW - I found "The Incredibles" very inaptly named....boring! the worst of the bunch IMO.

Wow. I guess that's why they say different strokes for different folks.

I thought The Incredibles was by FAR the best Pixar flick. They are all very good but The Incredibles had so much going for it that I'm surprised they haven't made a sequel. I still want to see them battle it out with the Underminer. The visuals left NO stone unturned...from the very beginning with brilliant black and white interviews right on through to the very end. That movie was just so friggin' smart.

I second The Incredibles recommendation. Easily one of Pixar's best works, and fully solidified my faith in Brad Bird as a director.

Has Pixar ever made a bad movie? No.

Some are more appealing to others because of the writing and directing. They're pretty much at the top of thier game.

I've been getting into watching Brad Birds directing of Ratatouille after viewing it several times. He has certainly become a favourite of mine. He handles the camera like a real shoot, imo. And, he wrote it (Actually re-wrote it, I believe, after 5 years with a previous director that wasn't working out. Where did I see that? ). It's really worth a topic of it's own, whether anyone likes it or not.

//more...

The character Colette I loved. The facial animatons/emotions were perfect. Many laughs there. Too many to mention. They really nailed her character.

And the scene where she almost slaps him during the scene where the offical announcement was made as to who
was actually doing the cooking, was perfect. Then the motorbike scene afterwards, with the mace. Great character moments.

And here she is in real person. Yay.

Wall-E is an animators movie , less talk more emotion by action..its a secondary animation Bible .....

Brad bird has said in the past the he's not into doing sequals but this article states that it may be possible, although I doubt it. Pixar movies have been so successful that could make a sequel to anything.

I think Cars was my least favorite of all the Pixar films, and it was still entertaining. The Incredibles and Up are probably my 2 favorite but really, all of their work is extraordinary. Someone mentioned the shorts they screen before the actual movies, anyone ever catch or watch the Pixar Shorts collection? I stumbled across it on Netflix but it was actually aired on tv about a month ago. Awesome stuff and just shows how great those guys are at telling a story, whether it's 2 minute or 120 minutes. (when you watch the shorts, keep an eye out for the one where the magician and his rabbit go at it, easily the hardest I've ever laughed at a cartoon)

It is not an animator's movie. It is a MOVIE, meaning that it uses visuals to tell the story instead of bla-bla-bla like in Finding Nemo. Wall-E can be understood by small kids who can barely talk yet, and by foreigners who don't know a word of English, at least the fist part of the movie. It is a MOVING PICTURE at its best, again, the first part. Yet, with so few words said, it is able to deliver quite a few concepts and ideas, like: solitude, friendship, love and of course global destruction caused by ever growing consumerism.

I think wall-e is my favorite. Incredibles, nemo, up tie for second. Never seen the rest, or if I have I don't remember them. Feel that wall-e is a work of art.

Good for you !

sadly most children hate wall-e. they get bored... but they love dumb ol' cars. easily their least thought out story ever.

My son was 4 when we took him to see Wall-E in the theater. He sat mesmerized through the whole thing. Since it has been on dvd he has seen it probably a dozen times, it is probably his favorite film. In fact it is still hugely popular among his preschool friends as well.

most of the kids I know think its boring, but when they see cars you would have thought that god had made it. or james cameron *rimshot*
