Has anyone used CVP v4.12 to create LUTs for the F3?

CVP Software

Looks to be free. Win and Mac Versions. Works for LUT on other Sony cameras.

Anyone using it? Timur what are you using to create LUTs?

Care to post LUTs you're already using?

Thanks for pointing that out, but way back then the conclusion was they didn't know. The problem is/was when the software was released there was no F3. We don't know if its the same LUT files as those other Sony cameras use. Might be, might not be.

I don't have S-Log yet so I can't test anything. Sure would be nice to take advantage of it if can.

Now some people have S-Log. I thought I saw Timur say he was using a LUT. I think Douglas and Nigel too. How is anyone producing or using a LUT?

I didn't build any LUT. Just used the Rec 709 that was in the camera with the upgrade. That was for the director monitors as a reference. I had the Cinedeck with RGB into it so I used the waveform from that to see my levels.

As I said in the first thread, cvp was a program for creating custom gamma curves for loading onto f900's, not for creating viewing LUTs. It can export your created gamma curves as a LUT so you could check your f900 gamma curves but creating general viewing LUTs t is not its main purpose and using cvp for that is far from ideal. If you really need to create your own LUTs for some reason I'd recommend something like Scratch, Light Illusion or Cinetal's software. Why not just use the Sony s-log LUTs? - http://fohdeesha.com/data/other/s-tree.zip

What is your main goal?
